Retail Consumer Purchase Behavior
Has been quite a while since my last post.
For this post, I will be doing analysis based on a set of consumer purchase data in a retail environment.
My focus here is on the analysis itself instead of the tools used, so we see more practicality in the analysis.
Business Problem:
Here is a set of data for a retail clothing store past sales. Business owner needs to find out more about subscriptions, promotions and discounts and their effect on purchasing behavior of customers.
I will be using the Previous Purchases column as a proxy for repeat purchase behavior.
The goal of this analysis is to identify factors associated with repeat purchasing behavior and transaction value using a retail clothing dataset, with a particular focus on subscription status and promotional mechanisms (discounts and promo codes).
Short Version of the Conclusion: Promotions, discounts and even subscriptions do not affect repeated purchase behavior much.
